Shield.

A presentation slipcase serves an architectural preservation purpose, not merely a decorative one.

Light, airborne dust, and seasonal humidity shifts degrade paper and bookcloth over time. When a book stands unprotected on an open wooden shelf, ultraviolet rays oxidize the spine cloth, causing pigments to fade unevenly while leaving the front and rear boards dark. Dust gathers across the head edge, penetrating paper fibres and encouraging acid formation.

Our slipcases are built from solid 2.5 millimetre European greyboard wrapped by hand in coarse buckram or Dutch linen. The interior is lined with smooth acid-free cotton barrier paper. The friction fit is calibrated to within a single millimetre: tight enough to prevent the book block from slumping, yet loose enough that a gentle tug on the silk grosgrain ribbon extracts the volume cleanly without corner abrading.

Deliver.

Packaging standards, courier transit protocols, and curatorial commissions.

Presentation editions are vulnerable to transit compression. A dropped parcel can easily dent a slipcase corner or split a spine shoulder. We never dispatch physical book sets in generic cardboard envelopes or bubble bags.

Each gift set is wrapped in acid-free glassine paper, nestled into precision-cut polyethylene foam buffers, and packed inside a rigid custom pine transit box. Shipments travel under full declared-value insurance with direct signature required upon delivery.

For institutions, reading rooms, or private collectors seeking custom turnkey collection catalog setups ($5,000–$20,000), our studio configures custom catalog infrastructure, physical acquisition registers, and search taxonomy within 4 to 8 weeks, backed by our consulting rate of $100 to $200 per hour.
